Hi,
When running a simulation using the SST model with the automatic wall function a wallscale residual is plotted by CFX. I've looked in the user guide but cannot find the answer. What is the variable that's being plotted? Thanks |

The solver runs a simple linear solver to get the distance to the walls for the wall scale variable. This variable is requierd for the SST model. It is very rare for this equation to fail to converge and rarely causes problems.

Ghorrocks,
Can you explain wall scale variable more? |

I recall it calculates it using a diffusion equation. So a simple linear equation, but one which CFX solves with an iterative solver.
