Turbulence Model for PV Analysis

What would be a suitable turbulence model for analysis of Personalised ventilation systems? There will be a jet blown onto a seated human manikin and there'll definitely be boundary layer interaction.

We tried K-e and SST on a validation model of two impingement jets but the velocity decay in the middle region was around 40% of the experimental data.

Did you you do the necessary accuracy check to make sure your validation model was accurate - mesh size, time step, convergence, other physics?

There has been a lot of research done on decay of a turbulent jet. If you dig up the literature you should be able to find the best turbulence model to get the jet decay accurate.

well, it converged to 1e-4 and using auto timestep and the meshing is an ordered grid whenever possible.

But you're right. I'll check out some literature.

Looks like you need to do some validation of your model before you claim the turbulence model is inaccurate; Have a look at the tips here and in the CFX documentation.
