Hello enginners,
I have a problem with interface set up. As you can see on the picture below there is a face which is parallel with XZ plane. Z axis is axis of revolution. I set up pitch change type into automatic but solver reports an error that pitch angle on the air side is invalid. Can someone give me advice how to set up these angles in appropriate way please?? Thank you for any suggestions. Last edited by keeper; May 31, 2011 at 09:04. |

in fact you have to split the interface into two parts. One that contains faces which are perpendicular to the axis of rotation and second one with rest of the interface. I has to be done for interfaces between two fluid domains. For interface between fluid and solid it works with all the faces in one interface.
Concerning pitch angle - it is the angle of your domain. For example if you slice 360deg model into one quarter (using rotational periodicity), then your pitch angle is 90deg. And pitch ratio is ratio of those two angles resp. interface areas. Regards |
