Hi
is there a possibility to get a access to the Desgin Parameters from the DM in CFX-Pre or CFD-Post? E.g. i will simulate an tube. In DM, i design an section of the tube with an angel x and in cfd post i would like calculate the massflow of the whole tube so i need the angle x (360°/x*massflow). Or is there an other way to calculate the total massflow best regards Frank |

If you evaluate an expression in CFD-Post which determines your flow rate and set it as a parameter it can then be used as a parameter in workbench.

Thanks, this is a good advice, it works fine
![]() So back to the original question, is there also a direct access to DM variables in CFX-Pre or CFD-Post? |

The way to pass variables from DM to Pre and Post is through WB. Looks like you have a problem with the way you set the variable up. Also I have no idea what your comment "In one equation WB tolds me i've an error in unity. Because it isn't possible (speed*unitless should be speed). And sometimes i've got the right value." means.
