Hello,
I want to calculate the mixing cup temperature - Tm=(1/umean*A)*<integral>(uT dA) - at a cross section (plane) of a rectangular duct. I have the velocity and temperature profile on the plane. Any suggestions on how to calculate the integral on the plane? |

This is easy. In CFD-Post create a user variable which is u*T. Then use the function calculator to get the area integral of this user variable over the area you define.

I believe you can also use massFlowAve(Temperature)@<plane name> to achieve the same calculation.

build a custom field function in define. input u*T on the panel. get the integral then do the operations you want.
