Constant mean WSS

Hi
How can I apply constant mean WSS at inlet? Is that the same concept of constant velocity??

Thanks

hi.
what do you mean a constant wss at inlet?
wall shear strees depends on velocity gradiant no on velocity.

could you expllain your problem more?

If you want to do constant wall shear stress then just define the wall shear stress to be a constant value. Use the specified shear option in CFX-Pre.

Because of different size of vessel in different patient, some people assume that applying constant value for mean WSS at inlet for example basilar artery is the right assumption for patient specific modeling. But I don't know how we can apply it in Cfx-pre?
Any idea?

Thanks

I just told you how to do it. Please read my previous post.

im not sure but i think constant WSS is applied on artery wall not as an inlet boundary condition.
check your artery wall and you will see that in "boundary detail" in "mass and momentum" the defualt is "no slip " for wall.but you can set "free slip wall"...or...."especifed shear" too.

i hope i could help you..

can you say me what is yous problem in general?
