Boo85 is on a distinguished road
hello everyone

i have just started learning CFX so as to simulate a condensor for an CO2 air con system and would like to know if such a scenario is possible.

Basically i want to do a transient simulation (would be considered compressible viscous fluid flow), what is known is:

  • at the inlet of the condensor is the compressor, and the compressor will have a certain mass flowrate depending on the pressure at the condensor inlet and the pressure in the compressor chamber
  • the outlet of the condensor there is the expansion valve which will control the mass flow rate depending on the pressure at the condensor outlet and the expansion valve outlet.
As such i will need to the boundary conditions of the condensor inlet and outlet to be mass flow rates. Will this set of boundary conditions for the fluid flow be robust or suitable?

Thanks alot!
