How to set the Heat Flux boundary condition at Outlet

Hi,

I am trying to model the gas-stirred vessel....where gas injected from the nozzle located at the bottom of vessel consisting of liquid metal...so I am using Degassing boundary condition at the top of vessel which allows gas to escape and acts as a free slip wall to liquid metal (which is not allowed to go out)...

Here I am solving the Thermal Energy equation for only liquid metal.

I want to specify the heat flux boundary condition for liquid metal at the outlet boundary...So I am specifying it using the source for the Energy equation...but in CFX Post when I am checking the results...it is not showing the correct heat flux which I applied initially....

Can some one tell me is it right way to specify the Heat Flux BC at outlet (Degassing BC)...

Here I am attaching the CCL file of outlet BC.

FLOW:
DOMAIN: Default Domain
BOUNDARY: top
Boundary Type = OUTLET
Interface Boundary = Off
Location = TOP
BOUNDARY CONDITIONS:
FLOW REGIME:
Option = Subsonic
END
MASS AND MOMENTUM:
Option = Degassing Condition
END
END
BOUNDARY SOURCE:
FLUID: M Steel
SOURCES:
EQUATION SOURCE: energy
Flux = -12500 [W m^-2]
Option = Flux

END
END
END
END
END
END
END

Thanks in advance.

Niranjan Reddy.

Looks OK. Your flux will not appear in the heat flux in the results file, you will have to see its effects on the metal (ie heating or cooling it).

Thanks Glenn ...the effect of flux is shown at the end of solver file....but it is not shown in the CFX-Post....(i.e. wall heat flux or heat flux).

Yes, that is correct I think. Been a while since I checked it but it sounds right.
