Chander is on a distinguished road
Hi,

I am using ICEM CFD to create a block structured hexahedral mesh for use in CFX. During the process of mesh creation an error message was flashed in the message window of ICEM CFD:

Family number out of range

I could spot any cause of that error and proceeded ahead with the mesh creation. The mesh was created without any further error or warning. When I reopened the mesh again after closing the project once, the error message did not reappear.

What is the meaning of this error?

I am seeing some unexpected errors in my CFX simulation and not able to spot any obvious causes. Just suspecting if there is something wrong with the mesh (which otherwise has quality of 1) with regards to the above error message which I saw during the mesh creation.

Thanks for your inputs.
