Hi all
I'm trying to simulate 2-way FSI problem.
Can i define an user function to access to the tension of solid domain?
in my problem i need to set tension of solid to zero after each coupling time step. i can do it by Abaqus but a don't know how can do it by ansys workbench.

Best regards.

Do you mean you want to reset the stress/displacements to zero? What's the big picture here? Why do you want to do that?

Thanks for reply Stumpy

In this problem, in the solid body in each coupling step, any energy will not store. in other hand the displacement of solid body in each coupling step most be independent of the stress store in it from last coupling step. i like to simulate the displacement of solid part due to pressure distribution in each coupling step.

Best regards.

If I understand correctly, then you want the structural solution at each coupling step to be independent of the solution history. So like a series of static structural solutions based on your transient CFD results. Is that correct? This must be a 1-way analysis then? If so, then just turn off Time Integration in Mechanical.

yes I want the structural solution at each coupling step to be independent of the solution history. But in each coupling step the displacement of solid most calculated and transfer to fluid part, like 2-way FSi. Is that true with just urn off Time Integration in Mechanical i can do it?

Best regards

Yes, if you turn off Time Integration then you get a steady-state structural solution at each coupling step (and at each coupling iteration) and the displacements are still passed to the CFD side.
