Default problem improting geometry

dsn2491 is on a distinguished road
The iges file when imported in ansys cfx becomes open in the meshing window though it is completely closed in the solidworks window?? does ne one know why this is happening??


please help me.. help needed urgently


the two pics are attached please someone help me with this.is there any alternative to the problem

i dont know why the second attachment is creating a problem but the issue is that the small box that is solid in the first attachment which is at the end of the picture becmes open when i import into ansys.


acn anyone tell me why that happens?

IGES is not a good format for importing into ANSYS. The best way is using the direct SW reader (which requires an additional license option), or failing that use parasolid. Parasolid is the native kernal for both SW and ANSYS so you should not have a problem in translation.

What is it? It looks like a forest speeder from the Planet Endor...... Or am I just showing my age?

is it parasolid binary or only parasolid?? *.x_t or *.x_b

Text or binary, both will work the same. But the binary one will be a faction of the file size.
