Hello,

Does any body know about the meaning of Global Error stated below?
-----------------------------------------
Global Error: In Analysis 'Flow Analysis 1' - Domain 'Default Domain': Transient analyses require that initial conditions are specified unless an Initial Values file is specified at run-time.

Global Error:
In Analysis 'Flow Analysis 1' - Output Control: No intermediate transient results files have been defined.

Yep. It means that Transient analyses require:
1) that initial conditions are specified
or
2) unless an Initial Values file is specified

The second part says that you are not saving any intermediate result files.

Hello
Thanks but where I have to specify the initial condition for transient analysis?
for second error, which type of file I need and how to use it?

You must either specify initial values or use a previous results file as initial condition. Initial conditions can be set under Default domain/initialization, or using Insert -> Global initialization. If you want to use another file as initial condition, specify it before starting the solver.

This is well covered in the manuals, see for example tutorial 6 on how to set up a transient analysis.

Hello,
can you elaborate how to solve second part error to me? I couldn't understand it?

It means you have a transient simulation but you have defined no transient results files. It is just a warning, you can continue, but most people are interested in the transient flow development in transient simulations so you may have forgotten to set that up.

Hello, I also encountered the same error. It happened when I switched the analysis type from steady state to transient state. The following is my solution, I hope it helps you.
For the first error, you can switch the tab to Initialize, change the Automatic under Cartesian Velocity Components and Static Pressure to Automatic with value, and fill in the number.
For the second error, you can switch the tab to Output Control, select the result you need and output.
