Could some one please tell me if CFX calculates the flow field in a closed conduit by considering the development of the flow from the entrance region (or) if it starts directly with a fully developed flow.
I'd like to know if the entrance region is included in the simulation of a closed conduit flow in CFX

It calculates it using the boundary conditions you specify. That could be fully developed flow, plug flow, or anything else you care to specify.
