Hi Guys!
I have the data file of a 2D solution done in Fluent. The simulation was performed on an unstructured mesh. Is there any way thru which I can “superimpose” a cartesian grid on the solution and obtain the values of field variables on that Cartesian (rectangular to be specific) grid. Simply put, I need to “map” the solution of an unstructured mesh on a structured mesh. Please tell me if this can be done in CFX by importing the Fluent data file there. I’ve been searching to find a way but to no avail and I’m kind of badly stuck. I’d really appreciate if anyone can help. Thanks. - Muntazir |

I have no idea about Fluent, you will have to look into that yourself (or post on the Fluent forum).
CFX cannot read Fluent data files so you won't be able to do it in CFX. You might be able to do this using Workbench (ie send the output of the Fluent run to the initial conditions of a CFX run) but I am not sure. |
