Radiation modelling help

Hi everyone,

I have a heat sink with straight fins and a heat source at the center of the base plate.(from a conference paper experimental study)

It is forced convection + radiation problem.

Since i have never been using radiation, i require some help in setting up the case.

I have the dimensions, inlet velocity and heat input details.

In addition the paper says the heat sink has an emissivity of minimum 0.8 which was done by black sulfuric acid anodizing.

how do i incorporate this in my model? pl do help asap.

Thanks

Have a look at the CFX radiation models. I strongly recommend you do a test case (radiative heat transfer between two plates where an analytical solution exists) so you can get radiation modelling workign before you apply it to a larger simulation.
