hi everybody
i am working on simulating a solar chimney and i have a problem. for converging first we st boundary condition as follow:
inlet: static pressure (1 atm)
outlet: mass flow rate (0.05 kg/s)
and i set ideal gas for flow.
during the solving i monitor the mass flow at inlet but after few seconds it converge to zero
where do you think i made a mistake???
thanks

Have a look at your results file in CFD-Post. That should give you some clues about what is wrong.

thanks ghorrocks
i got result and saw that the velocity vectors at inlet are toward outside
and because of this problem the mass flow at inlet is zero
how can i fix it???
thanks

I have no idea what that image is showing. Please explain what you are doing. Labelling your images would help, also showing what you expect to get and why.

Moreover I would try to set "total pressure" instead of "static pressure" at the inlet. Combination of inlet total pressure + outlet mass flow is more stable than inlet static pressure + outlet mass flow.
