COMSOL moving mesh

1 Attachment(s)
Dear All,

Currently I am working in the simulation of the evaporation of a liquid droplet, the problem is that this droplet is suspended by a solid (not defined in the model, only as a wall) and during its evaporation described by the tpfmm module the part that is attached to the wall (suspended) does not move during the evaporation.

So how can I make that part of the droplet that it is attached to the wall to move

I attach the geometry

Thanks

That is a really complicated procedure, but in short you need to define where you will allow the mesh to move and keep everything else fixed. Assuming you want to have that droplet in the middle get smaller you will need to match the flux across both sides of the gas/liquid interface. I usually use transport of diluted species for my stuff, but I don't think that will work for you. You will have a non-neglible amount of mass transfer between phases.
