How to construct rectangular port in 2D axis-symmetric model (Electromagnetic study)

Hi all,

I would like to ask how to define a rectangular port in 2D axis-symmetric model for electromagnetic wave study. It seems like the only available option is: numeric, coaxial, and circular.

I tried to self define it. Since I want to study TE10 mode, there is only electric field at x-direction, but how do i define this case in cylindrical coordinates for COMSOL?

You can't do it in 2D axy-symmetric. You should have a 2D model.

Hi, yes. I just found out that for rectangular port it is impossible for 2D-axis, unless it is something like circular port. For this case, it should be 2D or even 3D.
