I encountered a problem.
When Converge deactivates triangles in a disconnect group, the process stop. And, there is no error message available.
So, I searched related information in manual and founded this.
"Initialization of Events
When starting a simulation, CONVERGE disconnects all adjacent regions and then processes the events up to the start time. If events.in is CYCLIC, CONVERGE will process all events for one full cycle and then up until the simulation start time. This is necessary because, in a CYCLIC case, the initial region connection status depends on the region connection status at the end of the previous cycle."
But it cannot help me solve the problem. What should I do to correct the error.

What exactly are you trying to simulate?
I have never seen so many rows of activating/deactivating disconnect triangles.

Maybe you could post the events.in file?

Hi, please try the latest solver. If the problem is still there, please send your case file to support@convergecfd.com. Thanks!

If you want check the files, log.txt and events.in are attached.
However, after discussing with my workmates, I think the problem may result from the 3-D model. I will modify the model, and try again.
Thank you a lot.

Yeah. When I use the latest solver, the problem raise again. If I cannot solve it, I will sent my case files to the email address. Thank you for your suggestion.

Can you try to run the case in nohydro mode and see if the problem is still there? Just set nohydro in inputs.in to 1.

I am also thinking of changing parallel_scale too. Just give it a try between -1 to -4.

Thanks!

Are you sure that the events take place before the surface (vavles) are moving?

As you said, I run the case in nohydro mode, and the problem is still there. So, should I check the surface.data?

The model is a model of two stroke marine engine. So there is no intake valve. The air is induced by scavenging process. And, the events in the 3rd and 4th row of the event.in are about two gas fuel injector. I don't know whether I explain my problem clearly. But I found that when I run the case in nohydro mode, just as Jing Huang said, the problem was also there.

Ok I see you are using sealing since it's a two stroke engine. In this case we need to specify NO_DIS_Triangles for the combustion chamber region in events.in:
#--------------
NO_DIS_Triangles 1
1 region_id
#--------------
where region_id is the combustion chamber region (please refer to CONVERGE Manual 7.2.3).

I am not sure this is the cause of the problem though. Two stroke engine case can be tricky, I think the best way is to sending your case to support team for a look. Thanks!
