Hi,

well, i am not sure if I understand you correctly. IŽll try to explain general things:

The .cvg file contains all information (geometry, input settings, notes, coordinate cache, etc.), but to run the simulation you need to export the input files (.dat and .in). These are also the only files needed by CONVERGE. You can run simulations without a .cvg file in the case directory.

This means, you can send someone:
a) the .cvg file and he can export all files to run the simulation or
b) you can use the input files and import them into Studio and recreate the .cvg file. Remember, this way notes and data from coordinate cache wont be there.

If you make changes to the .cvg file, but dont export them, CONVERGE wont take notice.
