Hello Everyone,
I am simulating a single Cylinder 4 Valve Engine for motored conditions by the means of LES. I have extracted the mean temperature and pressure profiles for cylinder, intake and exhaust regions from thermo.out files for each region. In exhaust I am getting temperature and pressure waves(please refer to the diagrams). Which I think isnt normal. also as I make my mesh finer in the cylinder the amplitude of the waves increases a little bit, which leads to low velocities in the cylinder and hence low tumble velocity. I read in the user manaul that by using the "predist" function the dampening can be increased. But it is not advisable for transient cases. What are the other possibilities to increase the dampening? Kind Regards Rajat Soni |
