Hi,

What are the possible causes of this error?

"reading surface.dat data from file surface.dat JOB ABORT invoked by rank 0:
ERROR: neighboring triangles are associated with different streams--this is not allowed."

I prepared a geometry and implemented the following:
1-To fix the problems in diagnostic dock.
2-To create a new liner and check the alignment between head and piston.
3-Check the piston motion along the Z-axis.

Thanks in advance

Hamed,

Can you share the text of your initialize.in file?

Best regards,

Tristan

Hi Tristan,

I don't have accurate data and I initially imported it as an approximation.
I don't think this error related to this issue.
I also removed ports and valves, and filled the head using patch option, my case began to run.
I used this test separately for ports, but this test didn't work with geometry without valves. therefore, i tried to improve head of my SCOTE engine and it was worked, but didn't work with valves.
Is it important which software to use for meshing (stl file)?

Thanks for your help
Regards,

Hamed,

Why is Region 1 assigned to stream_id 1? Unless you're doing CHT including solids, everything is usually in stream_id 0.

Best regards,

Tristan
