dat is wat m asking,... whether i have to write 0 or 1 in the inputs.in file for restart number row........ or should i write the number assigned to restart file of output folder in inputs.in ?

You can write whatever number you like.
The restart number is the number, that will be assigned to the .out files. E.g. thermo0.out instead of thermo.out If you have one run that is restarted several times, it makes sense to have an increasing number. This way you can combine the original case files *, restart0, restart1, ... etc. But you could also use it as something else, if you do a IGN timing variation for example. See, you have a full 720° cycle with IGN timing 9 °CA bTDC. Then pick a restart file from 20 °CA bTDC. Then you assign restart number 10 for IGN at 10°CA bTDC, restart number 11 for 11°CA bTDC and so on. Also: It may or may not happen that parces are not read in correctly. This can happen if you exported all case files from a .cvg file. In this case copy the original surface.dat into the restart folder. |
