calculation of angle_xy_noz and angle_xz_noz

1 Attachment(s)
Hi,

I have initial and tail x, y z coordinates of 6 nozzle holes.

I have calculated angle_xy_noz and angle_xz_noz based on theory manual.

I can able to get angle_xz_noz correctly but angle_xy_noz are wrong.

can anyone suggest me how to calculate beam directions using initial and final beam positions (xi,yi,zi and xe,ye,ze for each nozzle hole).

Please find attached sample image of beam angle calculations.

Thank you in advance.

Krishna

We have a option to input nozzle coordinates and spray orientation unit vector for each direction (x,y,z). for this we need to use--> noz_init_flag=1
we can calculate pray orientation unit vector using initial and final x,y,z values of spray beam. Please refer attached image

Krishna,

Were you able to successfully define your nozzles using nozzle_init_flag=1?

Best regards,

Tristan

No Tristan.

But in one plane it is coming same but i am not getting how actually want.

can you please suggest me the best way with initial and end coordinates of spray beam.

Thank you in advance.

Krishna,

If you're having trouble with the coordinate system transformation, why don't you just enter the location and direction information for each hole individually in Cartesian coordinates by setting nozzle_init_flag=1? You can easily measure the Cartesian coordinate direction vectors in Studio if you place temporary vertices at the initial and final beam locations.

Best regards,

Tristan

Hi Tristan,

I am trying to calculate normals by manual method.:p

this is good idea to calculate direction normal using with studio.. i will do it and inform you.

Thank you so much.

Krishna
