boundary setting when simulate a half model

Hello everyone,
I want to simulate the gas flow in a two-stroke engine, and the geometry is symmetry. So i want to simulate only half of it to reduce the simulation time.
How should i set the boundary type of the section profile. Is that right to set the boundary type as "symmetry"?

Hello,

If you're simulating gas exchange, we recommend a full 3-D simulation, even if the geometry is symmetric. Sector simulation (using periodic boundary conditions) is appropriate for closed-cycle simulations of engines that are swirl-dominated.

Best regards,

Tristan

Hello Tristan

Thanks for your reply!
Although it is not recommended to use sector simulation when simulate gas exchange, if i use a half model, which boundary type should i choose for the profile.
Sincerely!
