i want to do a simulation for an axisymmertric case, the unique solution is to build a portion of my 3D model, but the problem is when i chose a angle of 30° for exemple, i end up with a lot of cells that increase my computational time (it is a combustion case with SAGE) and acctually i need the results just for one plane, and when i reduce the angle until 1° for exemple, the calculations become instable dues to the cell merging that happens near to the axe and results big cells, any solution please?

Consider using mesh refinement techniques near the axis and symmetry boundary conditions to reduce computational cost while maintaining accuracy in simulating the axisymmetric case. Ensure adequate boundary layer resolution and explore weed seeds amazon delivery optimization methods to mitigate instability while achieving the desired results for a specific plane.

Greetings,

Apart from the correct above suggestion of optimizing grid control techniques and taking full advantage of CONVERGE's autonomous and adaptive meshing capabilities for such simulations, CONVERGE users would be interested to know that CONVERGE 3.2.4 Early Access release, available through our website, contains a Two-D Asymmetric solver.

Using this solver, you can solve 2D axisymmetric problems in a cylindrical framework and this approach will be less computational expensive than 3D sector simulations. More details can be found in our CONVERGE v3.2 Manual.

Sincerely,
