In an ICE simulation I would like to check the number of NOx particles not in kg but in ppm. Is there something in the detailed soot model that I have to activate specifically?

If you want volume/volum ppm, you can simply use the NOx mole fraction which is also reported in emissions.out. If you want mass/mass ppm, you can simply divide the mass of the NOx species (from species_mass.out) by the total mass of all the species in the domain (from thermo.out), and multiply it by 1 million.

The primary nitrogen pollutants produced by combustion are nitric oxide (NO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and are generally referred to collectively as NOx. ... Instruments which measure NOx generally read in Parts Per Million (PPM).
