Hello,
I am trying a simple simulation of a cylinder, piston and head...Trying to match the Experimental Heat Transfer rate. The experimental Heat Transfer rate is around 21Kw.
I have tried every model available Han & Reitz, orokre etc but still, the max I am getting is from Han and Reitz that is around 9kw. From other models its lower than this.(I am changing models both in Boundry.in and turbulence.in and using standard wall function) My all boundary and initial conditions are correct(taken from experimentation). Just wanted to know is there any way I can tune heat transfer models. Like is there any specific parameter by which I can increase HT in converge because The HT am getting from converge is too low..The pressure curves are matching though. I am attaching the graphs too.
Please give suggestions. Thanks

Hello Usama,

If you are confident of your boundary conditions and combustion behaviour in your simulations, you could consider UDFs to tune your wall heat transfer. The most straightforward option will be to apply a scaling factor to the default wall heat transfer calculations present in our UDFs.

Please refer to our UDF manual for more details on how to set up such UDFs and employ them with CONVERGE. If you would like assistance with constructing such UDFs, please contact support@convergecfd.com. Please use your official email for all correspondence with Convergent Science. Please mention the issues you are facing, attach your case setup and add the cfd-online thread, as reference.

Sincerely,
