Hello,
I want to setup HVO as a fuel in my simulation. My question is there any fuel that closely related to HVO like any surrogate that i can define and is available so that i can implement it in converge. any comments will be appreciated. Thanks Last edited by usamaubk; April 16, 2021 at 05:35. |

Often times it is difficult to get surrogates that satisfies both the liquid and gas/reaction properties. One workaround is described below. You may split the two modeling by using "evap source flag" such that the modeled liquid fuel is evaporated in a species for which you have a reaction mechanism. You can use the LHV correction to ensure the energy content is consistent between the experiment and simulation. Thanks, Nitesh |
