Modelling of air assisted fuel injection system
Dear all
I am using orbital air assisted fuel injection system for four stroke GDI engine. We have successfully done a few experiments. But we are interested in the in-cylinder flow and other developments. We have modeled the whole injector but putting the injector along with the full cycle simulation will be very slow. I want to know if I can start simulating from the mixture injector where I will send fuel air mixture and droplets through a hollow cone injector. I am attaching an image of the air assisted injection for your reference. If any of you can direct me some sample case setups or some help will be really appreciated. Thanking you in advance Jubin jubin@nikotto.in Please connect to me at https://www.linkedin.com/in/jubin-v-jose-363533149/ |
Hi Jubin,
You can use VOF-spray one-way coupling feature in CONVERGE. We provide two examples to demonstrate this feature, you can find them in "/Fuel_Injectors_and_Sprays/Spray_studies/ECN_Spray_G_VOF_transient_RANS" and "/Fuel_Injectors_and_Sprays/Spray_studies/ECN_Spray_G_one-way_coupling_transient_RANS". Besides, please refer to the advanced training materials on the topics of VOF and spray modeling (which can be downloaded from https://hub.convergecfd.com/) for more details. Also, please contact your local CONVERGE support team if you need more assistance from us. Hope it helps. _____________________________ Yu Zhang, Ph.D. Research Engineer - Applications Convergent Science Inc. |
