FATAL_ERROR: The common temperature is higher or equal to the highest temperature

1 Attachment(s)
I have been working on ammonia combustion using converge CFD package. But during this time I encountered a fatal mistake.
The log.out file shows that:

There are 1099 reactions and 125 species.
reading species.in data from file species.in
FATAL_ERROR: The common temperature is higher or equal to the highest temperature, please revise therm.dat

I have tried using different therm.dat files I encounter this error every time.
Can anyone help me?

Hello,

When you import the therm.dat in Studio, please check if the file is in the correct format. You can do that by clicking on validate. Also, in your therm.dat, are there any species that have a boiling temperature larger than the range provided in the table?

Thanks,

Angela

Hey Angela,

I validated thermodynamic data files for three different reaction mechanisms in CONVERGE Studio and found no issues.

How would I check if the species' boiling point is larger than the maximum temperature in the table? I'm attaching one of the thermodynamic data files.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Rahul,

My mistake. I was reading your question wrong. Please submit your question to support@convergecfd.com and we can take a look at your case setup in more detail.

Thanks,

Angela

Try adding three zeros to the decimal point of the three digits on the second line of your therm text

Adding zeroes in the thermodynamic file helped! Thanks!
