Simulating a Diaphragm with Flow Pressure and Variable Area

Hey All. I am asked to simulate a geometry in which a fluid exerts pressure on a diaphragm as a result of which the spring (attached to the diaphragm) deflects and the area beneath the spring changes which changes the flow rate. The task is to perform the simulation in such a way as to look for the deflection of the spring, change in the flow-rate , velocity and pressure of the flow all at the same time. Is it possible ?
Need some quick help please. Anticipating for some prompt replies.
Thanks in Advance.

Hi Syed,

This is Yu Zhang from CONVERGE support. I am not fully understand the geometry of your simulation, but in CONVERGE, we do have the FSI modeling available, which includes the FSI spring modeling. I think this feature will be suitable for your application.

If you want to know more details about the FSI modeling in CONVERGE, please go to https://hub.convergecfd.com/ and refer to advaced training material about FSI.
