Transfer Data from CONVERGE to Fluent

Hi everyone,

I have been struggling for a few months with how to send CONVERGE combustion results and use them as boundary conditions for the Fluent model.

Whatever I want to transfer as a text file from external data, Ansys Coupling gives an error.

Do you know a way how to map the results on the Ansys or Fluent mesh and use it as a boundary condition in Fluent?

It would be a great favour if you could help.

Regards,
Amin

Hi,

1. As an update for this topic, I used direct import of text files using Ansys mechanical external data. But I couldn't find a way to import it directly to Fluent.

2. Now I'm wandering for mapping results back on the CONVERGE surface.

Warm Regards,
Amin

Hi Amin,

I think there is currently no direct way and you have to take some steps before importing the data into Ansys.
I’ve successfully transferred the HTC results into the steady-state thermal analysis of Ansys.
The first thing to consider is the differences in orientation between the two surfaces. This can be remedied by measuring the amount of translation and rotation required. Then, you can fix the differences by means of the HTC utility (or in Ansys).
The second is the averaged crank-resolved data, which can be saved as a CSV file and then imported into Ansys.
