Need Help with Boundary Flagging in CONVERGE CFD for IC Engine Simulation

Hello,

I'm encountering some issues while trying to set up a simulation in CONVERGE CFD for a 4-Stroke internal combustion engine aimed at enhancing fuel efficiency. Specifically, I'm having trouble with boundary flagging, as whenever I try to select certain components such as the piston or the head, it inadvertently selects additional components like the liner or the intake/exhaust ports, injectors, and spark plugs respectively.

I'm a CONVERGE Explore user and would greatly appreciate it if someone with expertise in CONVERGE CFD could provide me with guidance through this process. I'm seeking a step-by-step walkthrough to ensure accurate boundary flagging and simulation setup.

If anyone is willing to assist, please feel free to reach out to me privately. Your help would be invaluable in advancing my simulation objectives.

Thank you in advance.

Hello and thanks for your question. Typically the boundary fences are used to control the selection of surfaces to flag boundaries. You may find attending our intro training or the tutorial videos on our youtube channel:
