Hello everyone, urgent help needed.
I'm working on CFD simulation of copper electro refining process, in simple words Electrolysis process. Consider a simple geometry, an rectangular bath having certain dimension, a rectangular shaped Inlet located at the bottom of the inlet surface, Outlet on the opposite surface but located at the top of the surface i.e the overflowing of electrolyte, an Anode (Copper) a Cathode (Steel) again an Anode (Copper) are placed apart at very small distance (few cm). Aqueous solution of H2SO4 + CuS04 using as electrolyte which is flowing at very low velocity (less than 1m/s) The objective of the work is to study how a charged particles i.e copper ion is moving/transferring from anode and getting deposited to the cathode, what is the flow behavior/pattern within the small anode-cathode-anode gap region when a suitable Current density is applied on the electrodes. Please help me how to approach, what are the equation/models/physics involved here, what will be the boundary conditions here.. Thank you in advance. Ansys Fluent/ CFX any suggestions are welcome |
