Command not found
Hello Everyone,
I am not able to open Ensight on a Linux machine. When I type in the command, it shows the following error "CEI10.1/bin/ensight101.client: Command not found." Can anybody help me with that! Kind Regards, Rajat |
Hi Rajat,
It looks like there are problems in the installation. Make sure that: 1. The environmental variable PATH contains the directory where you installed EnSight /bin. For example, if you've installed EnSight in /opt/loca/CEI, PATH should contain /opt/local/CEI/bin 2. If you have installed EnSight 10.1.X or prior, make sure you set an environmental variable CEI_HOME that points to the installation directory. In EnSight 10.2 version, this step isn't needed any more. 3. Check that you actually have the ensight10.client file in the path that the program is looking at. If EnSight has been installed in the wrong way, it might be missing some files. 4. Make sure you have permissions to run those executable files. Hope this helps. Hi Marina,
your second suggestion worked. Thanks! :) Bests, Rajat |
