Easiest Import Format? (Python)

I have DNS data (from an in-house code) that I would like to import into Ansys EnSight for visualization, and to check some properties.

In the past, I have imported results from in-house codes into Hyperview by writing a Python script delivering the same format as a traditional simulation file. However, I no longer have access to Hyperview, and the formats I used are not compatible with EnSight.

Which format accepted by EnSight would be the easiest to follow in a Python script?

"EnSight gold" format works perfect and is not too complicated.

I had been using Paraview lately

Ensight Gold works also very well with Paraview. There is also a binary form, which loads much faster.

There is also a tool called "ens_checker", which tells you if there are problems with your format.
