Rotation and Unsteady Simulation

Hi everyone :)

I would like to perform an unsteady simulation of a rotor. I impose the revolutions (RPM) In "Rotating Machinery" of my domain. I make same time steps but when I load the output, the rotor is always in the same position (like it is not rotating). Why?? No idea...If I am rotating the domain and it is unsteady simulation, it should rotate in time. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance

Dear daxterss;
in case of unseatdy simulations, in fact you descritize the time into finite steps. Then, the solver solves each time step through the total time period specified. When solution is finished and you are to post-process the results Cfview asks you to determine the time steps you are interested in. by default it loads all the time steps (unless you modify it otherwise). So you can see the computation results of each step. upper sight side of Cfview windows lets you manage the time steps.
But please note that before running the solver in Fine/turbo you need to check the option that writes and saves all intermediate time steps during the solution. Unless at the end of solution you can only see the final time step results. this may be your case at this joint.

Regards

Dear Hamidzoka,

Thanks for your answer. Yes. I know that you have to save several timesteps and after when you load with CFVIew you have the option to load all the time steps saved.
My problem is that I am saving several timesteps, I open CFView, I load all the timesteps and when I see the results in differents steps, the blade is in the same location...like if it is not moving
Do you know the reason? Thanks in advance
