Simulation Problem Where Suddenly Finished With No Result Produced

Hi,

I have setup my ship hull with Froude Number 1.0 (high speed) to run the simulation. The meshing and geometry are all fine. However, when coming to the simulation, there is an error appear. When running the simulation, there is a description that suddenly pop up as shown in below:

Pre-processing: finished
Solver: finished
Post-processing: finished

With no result produced. I guess this error happened due to the unmatching Reynold Number, is it true?

Or have any others suggestion/experience on how to solve this problem?

Thanks

Hi,

Could you give more details such as did the preprocessing (hexpress2isis and premetis) run correctly ? Check the hexpress2isis.log and premetis.log.
What does your .std file say at the end ?
Was the solution converged ?

Do you have .cpr files in your run directory (that would mean postmetis ran ok)? A .cfv file in your directory ?

Hi Rombzh,

This is the files that had been created. However, the .cpr files are not being created since the simulation had finished. Can you share with me what is the problem actually? and what is the related files with the current problem. Looking forward to getting your reply. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

In your .std file (ISIS log file), you can see the following :
Unable to locate ISIS-CFD license server
or all ISIS-CFD licenses are checked out.
Fail to check out isismpi license

So there is a problem with your license server, either it's not running, or the number of available isis licenses has been reached (namely other runs were running when you tried to launch your job).

Do you have admin privileges ? If so, you can check the installation/licenses .pdf, and try to understand what the problem is. Don't hesitate to contact Numeca tech support on this matter.
