Hubless Propeller in AutoGrid

Hello,
I wanna ask something, as i know, AutoGrid need 3 important definition : Shroud, Hub and Blade i've project to analyze hubless propeller. its possible to analyzing in Fine Turbo with meshing in AutoGrid? When i try to link Geometry, I cant link blade surface to blade. Hope all of you can help me :) Thank you Attached file : Capture imported Geometry in Import CAD Window syamsi11@mhs.ne.its.ac.id |
The blade is physically connected to the shroud then? Sure it is possible to analyze in AutoGrid. You just need to define a virtual hub and add a block for the center part e.g. in a 3D effect.

Thanks for your response. i still confuse about that virtual hub and block for the center. may you explain more specific to me? |
In your CAD or in the CAD import window of AutoGrid5 you may define a virtual hub. What I mean by virtual that you will mesh it as if it is a wall but then you can add a 3D effect in your AutoGrid5 project that inserts a (butterfly)block in the part from 0 radius up to the hub and that is connected with a full non-matching connection for example.
So the virtual hub is not a real wall but a connection to the inner fluid region. Alternative to a 3D effect in AutoGrid5, the block can be added in IGG. |
