Mesh Merge Information
1 Attachment(s)
Hello,
I tried to link a new mesh to an existing project. Afterwards I got the following Message: The mesh file (meshname) and the project (projectname) do not have the same topology. What does it mean? I click Merge Mesh definition (see attached) and the message disappears. Greetings |
In FINE/Turbo you can use an already set up project and link a new mesh. This makes sense if the topology of both meshes is similar but only the number of grid points differ (for example in case of a mesh refinement study).
After you merged the old project with the new mesh you should definitely check all settings, especially the boundary conditions tabs if all patches (inlet/outlet/solid) are defined correctly. |
Thanks for your answer.
But because of this message, my script stops working. Is there a script command, to say Fine/Turbo that I want to click "Merge Mesh"? Greetings |
As far as I know there is no such script command to automatically merge the mesh. But you could (once again) set up your project from scratch, save the script file (File -> Script -> Save all) and execute this script. In this script you can then set the path of the linking mesh.
