Hello together,
I'm trying to create a mesh for a bypass-configuration (Fan-Blade with high staggered angle) using Autogrid5 12.2. and am currently struggeling with the LE/TE Wizard. I've linked the geometry via CAD-Import (Suction-Sided-Surface and Pressure-sided-Surface) and now trying to define the LE and TE with the Wizard. Unfortunately there's an intersection problem ("sorry, intersection problem") I haven't worked out yet. You can see the different options I have tried so far in the images attached. Maybe some of you have an idea, what I'm missing out?[ P.S: It's my first time using Autogrid. Thanks Best regards ATTACH]92295[/ATTACH] Very_High_Leading_Edge.jpg Very_High_Leading_Edge_Second.jpg |

It is really important that the leading and trailing edge curves intersect the hub, shroud and walls of the bypass channel. It is not sufficient if they are just touching.
In addition I would strongly recommend you to update to the latest release as 12.2 is very old and many fixes and improvements have been made ever since. |

Thanks a lot for your reply! I didn't link the LE/TE curves from the CAD model because the system tells me that the TE/LE wzard is only working for "blunt edges only" if I do. There are only two surfaces linked from the CAD model, the pressure side and suction side. Those surfaces seem to intersect with the walls (as seen in the uploaded pictures) I wanted to use the TE/LE wizard to create/define "new" curves, but I'm not sure if that's the correct use of that "tool". Sadly my university only runs that very old version of Autogrid. |
