I'm working on a little challenge ():
I wish to simulate the mixing of a fluid with a coolant. As we already know from the client; a part of the coolant actualy vaporises partially and gets mixed as little gas bubbles. I understand these bubbles are just a bit too much to be visualised by the software. But, still the compress-ability of the mixture changes drastically. So, I wonder, is there a way to simulate this change in compress-ability? Any advise would be most welcome Cheers Floris |

Without question, such a bi-phase flow problem is a challenge for SW flow simulation. ANSYS may help you out.

Hi Floris,
yes, bubbles and foam like appearences are not possible with FloEFD but you can define compressible liquids in FloEFD if you know the properties of it. You can create them in the engineering database under compressible liquids. If that corresponds to the reality with bubbles I cannot tell. Regards, Boris |
