Transferred Boundary Condition

Hi everyone!

I started to use SOLIDWORKS FLOW SIMULATION recently to make some simulation for my job. I wonder how i can pass from a local study to a global study using Transferred Boundary Condition. Specifically, i want to study the flux around some components (like a diffuser) locally and then use the results to make a simulation on a bigger domain. Is it possible to make it using Transferred Boundary Condition? Or it is used only to pass from a global study to a local study?

Hi Giu,

it is only meant to do it the other way around. But one thing you could do is to use a point parameter on the small volume you did your detailed study and extract parameters such as velocity and temperature etc. and use that as a source distribution in a boundary condition by using the dependency of the velocity or the parameter you want to apply it to and select the "F (x y z) - table". You need to set the formatting right of the file but then you can get the small model detailed studies outflow conditions as inlet conditions on that small size "box" for the global simulation.
However, keep in mind that usually the global flow has an influence on the small domain so in reality it would probably different by some degree. So you are creating an error to some extent.

Regards,
Boris
