Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me with an issue I am having in Flow Simulation. I can solve my simulation, but when I go to view results Solidworks instantly crashes. This happens most often when I try to view a cut-plot. I ran Solidworks Rx and found no issues, and am currently repairing my SW install. Is there a way to generate a crash report to see what is causing the issue? Here are my system details: SW2014 SP2 Windows 8.1 ASUS Q550LF Laptop Quad-core i7 4700U (1.8GHz) 8GB RAM NVIDIA GT 745M GPU (1GB) Any help appreciated! John |

I finished re-installing SW and this did not solve the problem.
I am open to ideas. John |

Usually might be related to the graphics card but you should first try to update your drivers as there might have been some updates in the visualization that requires a newer version of some drivers such as OpenGL or something else.
If that doesn't help try if you can show another plot such as surface or trajectories. Boris |

You should go to Systemoptions --> Performance --> Check Use OpenGL
This should fix the issue with the crashing cut plot. Be aware that some functionalities of the software will be affected, e.g. if you want to save an animation, you have to check this option out, otherwise you will get black screen only. |
