Hello,

I am new to the topic of flow simulations with FloEFD (using SolidEdge) and I am facing a small problem.
I want to do an internal flow simulation for which I have given an inlet flow. I also know the pressure in the system. What information do I need to put in the simulation to get the correct turbulence in the considered region?

I would be very grateful for any help.

Jani

Hi Jani,

what do you mean by "correct turbulence"? You can set the volume flow rate at the inlet and static pressure at the outlet as boundary conditions, solve the project and investigate the solution variables.

Does this help?

Hi JaniXXX,

If you want to make an internal flow analysis on Simcenter FLOEFD, first of all, you need to close lids and check geometry.

After the control, you can define inlet, outlet and other boundary conditions. You can select pressure or flow on inlet and outlet. I think, it's enough to start the simulation.

If you want to ask another thing, you can write here.
