Hello
I have to study the heath path in the model in Figure 1. In this model the grey and the orange component are heat volumetric sources. The problem is that I would like that the heat coming out of one face to be the heat going inside another face (Figure 2); basically, the boundary conditions of one face are the properties of the other face, but those two faces are not conincident (Figure 3). I tried to use Axial Periodicity, but the results aren't good. Is there another way? Thank you very much |

Hello Francesca,
Have you tried a goal dependency where you place a goal on the one side asking for the heat and link the heat source of the other side with that goal? Also a reason for the axial periodicity might be that the model is cut already and it works much better if the model is in full scale or at least somewhat bigger than the actual computational domain/wedge of the axial periodicity. Otherwise it is numerically not ideal defined with a surface ending the model directly at the symmetry plane. I hope this helps, Boris |
