Help me! Non-stationary calculation aircraft

Hi everyone!
Need help, pleease.
Please tell me whether it is possible in FloEFD to simulate the descent of the device in the atmosphere with a change in atmospheric parameters in height.

PS if it doesn’t complicate, describe as detailed as possible, I can’t understand how to solve the unsteady problem correctly

Hi Sergey,

Yes, it is possible.
First of course you will need a transient project setting. Of course you will need to know the overall time of your descent and the height change over the time.
You can then change the "thermodynamic parameters" in the Initial and ambient conditions of the Wizard/General settings to "Altitude". The parameters here are based on the standard atmosphere with a temperature deviation. You can then set the height as a dependency (see the button at the bottom) and select for example "F(time) -Table" where you can enter your data of the height over the time.

Regards,
Boris
