Hello,
I have recently started my job after graduation and I have started to work with Solidworks Flow Simulation. I am searching help with definition of turbulence properties - turbulence intensity and length scale. 1) Turbulence intensity of small fans for air-cooling of electronics components in devices. I tried to find some approximate values of turbulence intensity for fans but unsuccessfully. 2) Turbulent length scale: In case of pipe flow, I am not sure whether I should use l=0.038*L or l=0.07*L as stated here: https://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Turbulence_length_scale In a general case, where on the inlet is perforated plate, or the inlets are small openings in device cover, what could be good approximation for l ? Thanks in advance for suggestions and information. |
