Dear all,
I am simulating a simple straight channel with fixed bed (no packed sediment component used) to check the capabilities of the sediment scour module of FLOW-3D Version 11.1.3.1.
I am wondering how the module distinguishes between bed load and suspended load when preparing this information for the output/analyze data?

Is there a specific height above the fixed bed level where a particle is assumed to be in suspension? And in general: How can the output (probe -> general history) "mass of suspended sediment" and "mass of packed sediment" be interpreted?

Thanks for your help and advice.
Christopher
